In 1993, Nanny Glerup felted a pair of boots for the first time using the wool from her Gotland sheep. The Glerups Slipper, home its humble beginnings has been perfected over the years with a wool mix of Gotland Wool (5%) with soft ethical and traceable ZQ wool (95%) from New Zealand Farmers. The wool is washed in soft water, then carded and felted. The felt is formed into socks, which are steam-felted for a perfect fit before rubber soles are glued and sewn on, for long lasting durability. The fleece is washed in soft lime-free water, it is then trimmed, edged and fitted with rubber soles to create an indoor/outdoor shoe. A sleek and timeless design, these slippers are an example of true Danish craftmanship.
